Saved From Scrap

Here is STM 15-041, a 1995 Nova Bus Classic, on route 161 Van Horne at Yitzhak Rabin Park. 15-041 is one of several STM Classics that were originally retired, but were brought back into service. The reason for this was because each bus was still under warranty to the STM.

The retired buses - two '94s and several '95s - were all sent to Creamzie Shops for a complete overhaul. They all look like new now, and 15-041 is a perfect example of that.

Had Transports Quebec not notified the STM that these buses were still under warranty, they'd all be rotting away in a scrap yard somewhere. This just goes to show that sometimes older buses can get a second chance.
